Autumn Concert Series

Jessie Gordon and Mark Turner present an Autumn Concert Series at the luxuriously beautiful Moana Hall. This series features Mark and Jessie with special guests on Wednesday nights through April and May.

SPECIAL GUESTS NOTE: April 12 will feature Mark with jazz icon Lucy Iffla while Jessie is working hard* in Broome, and May 10 will feature Jessie with Reece Clark on keys and vocals and Karl Florisson on double bass and vocals.

Jessie’s passion is old world roots music of the 21st Century. Her original work is a combination of soulful blues, harmonic gospel and joyful swinging country. Mark is Jessie’s long time musical collaborator, partner in multiple crimes and best friend. He loves jazz and blues, and also brings a folk and pop sensitivity to his song writing.

The duo are a joy to watch on stage, their shared history and their love for each other is palpable. They have also started writing music together and these nights at Moana will feature new songs each week from their joint songwriting as well as jazz standards, blues classics and probably Jolene every night…

This Autumn Concert Series is an invitation to experience Mark and Jessie up close, in a setting like no other. The audience will be seated in the round with 360 views of the performance. Make yourself feel at home in an atmosphere that prioritises your unfettered connection to the music and the musicians.

Please note that there is a bar available and some snacks, but no food at Moana Hall. Doors are at 6.30, the show will be two short sets 7-7.45pm and 8.15-9pm. Because we do everything ourselves, we would love you to arrive between 6.30-6.55 so we have time to set everything up and then greet you at the door before we play! City street parking is free after 6pm if you want to come in early for dinner, otherwise we recommend heading to Alfred's just down the street for late night pizza!
