Mark Turner, a singer and multi-instrumentalists is a natural crooner with an irresistible warmth and a passion for music. With his velvet voice and charismatic charm, Mark’s onstage energy carries his audiences through romantic ballads to high energy blues; a multi-talented and truly captivating performer.
Adrian Galante is a multifaceted, exciting young jazz clarinetist and pianist with a remarkable command of both instruments far beyond his youth. Possessing a lyrical “vocal-like” quality on the clarinet, his expressive playing exhibits a melancholic romanticism combined with a joyous feeling for swing, bebop, and the blues.
Victoria Newton relocated to Perth in 2008 after many years in the UK, where she was recognised as one of the most exciting and dynamic jazz vocalists on the scene. In recent times she performed at the famous Ronnie Scott’s in London, Alexis in Kuala Lumpur, for their International Jazz Series, and a dream gig performing Brazilian songs cruising up the Amazon! Newton also experienced international success during the mid 1990s with UK dance / pop group Strike and their hit ‘U Sure Do’.
Tonight they join forces to bring you some swinging good times. Expect to see more instruments than people, hilarious antics and fantastic hospitality from the Ellington. Joining them will be Danny Moss Jr on Double Bass, Bronton Ainsworth on Drums and some more of Perth’s best musicians to be announced.
