Join Mark Turner and Jessie Gordon for a new, unplanned and entirely improvised show each night! They’ll be asking the audience for requests and playing set list roulette with a brand new set list, including songs from their latest album!
Jessie and Mark have been playing and writing music together for over 20 years. They have toured the world together, won multiple awards at Fringe World and recorded seven albums, including their collaborative releases ‘Best Friends’, ‘Live at Kidogo’ and their brand new original jazz album ‘All The Rage’. The duo are a joy to watch on stage, their shared history and their love for each other is palpable.
Moana Music Series
Climb up the stairs to a gorgeous candlelit room filled with beautiful music.
Jessie Gordon presents the Moana Music Series at the luxuriously beautiful Moana Hall. This series features Jessie with special guests every week on Wednesday nights through February, March and April.
Jessie’s passion is old world roots music of the 21st Century. Her original work is a combination of soulful blues, harmonic gospel and joyful swinging country.
The audience will be seated in the round with 360 views of the performance. Make yourself feel at home in an atmosphere that prioritises your unfettered connection to the music and the musicians.

Please note that there is a bar available and some snacks, but no food at Moana Hall. Doors are at 6.30, the show will be two short sets 7-7.45pm and 8.15-9pm. Because we do everything ourselves, we would love you to arrive between 6.30-6.55 so we have time to set everything up and then greet you at the door before we play! City street parking is free after 6pm if you want to come in early for dinner, otherwise we recommend heading to Alfred's just down the street for late night pizza!

Enjoy the music of the Danny Moss Jnr Quartet with Special Guest Mark Turner. Mark is a multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter with an irresistible warmth and passion for music. He’s an accomplished saxophonist, guitarist and singer but more than that - he entertains.
This will be Danny Moss Jr’s fifth concert at our club and his big-toned voice on double bass creates so much of the magic in the performance of his quartet. He will be joined by the same talented musicians that played at our club’s last jazz concert: Bronton Ainsworth on drums, with his deft touches on both sticks and brushes, the extraordinary Lachlan Glover on tenor saxophone and the remarkable Jackson Van Ballegooyen on piano.

Calm
CALM is a one hour musical immersion, part sound bath, part original music, part looping soundscapes. Follow the music up the stairs to a beautiful Art Deco space where you’ll find Jessie and Mark in the middle of the room, surrounded by plants and fairy lights.
The show is improvised each night, responding to the energy of the audience. Let the sound wash over you and enjoy the live guitar, saxophone, piano, vocals and improvised loops created with the help of the beautiful acoustics of Moana Hall.

Come celebrate their music with the award-winning Perth Cabert Collective featuring the extraordinary vocal prowess of Victoria Newton and Mark Turner and one of Perth's best jazz trumpeters, Matt Smith. Come and pay homage to these incredible musicans performed by a world-class ensemble, it will be a night to remember.

YATM, Yoga at the Museum was a much beloved event series founded and run by Kylie Pearsall, one of Perth's most senior instructors. This time around Kylie invites you to slow down, to take rest and immerse yourself in the incredible sounds of her friends Jessie & Mark.
Please arrive at 9:30am for a 9:45 start, late entry may not be permitted for your own safety. No yoga experience is necessary, all levels are welcome. The practice will consist of a slow flow, sinking into longer held yin style postures.
Children over 8 yo are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Joanna's Candlelit Soirée with Jessie Gordon & Mark Turner
Joanna’s Candlelit Soirées are an absolutely magical series of dinners hosted by Kidogo Arthouse during winter, featuring unique performances by some of Perth’s finest musicians.

Mark Turner, a singer and multi-instrumentalist, is a natural crooner with an irresistible warmth and a passion for music.
With his velvet voice and charismatic charm, Mark’s onstage energy carries his audiences through romantic ballads to high-energy blues; a multi-talented and truly captivating performer.
After a decade of performing with WA talents such as Adam Hall and the Velvet Playboys, Jessie Gordon, Perth Symphony Orchestra, Perth Cabaret Collective, and performing at major festivals in Belgium, Germany, Poland, Spain, Singapore, and Australia, Mark makes his centre stage debut at the Club’s First Friday Jazz Club.
Join him and his trio featuring Harry Mitchell on the piano and Karl Florisson on double bass.
